Travels feat. Matthias Strucken

Travels (2022)
Joscho Stephan and Matthias Strucken had already been in the studio together in 2016 and recorded a more traditional CD entitled “Gypsy Vibes”, they embark on new musical paths with the present album “Travels”. Previously committed to the traditional styles of gypsy jazz (Django Reinhardt) and blues/swing (Milt Jackson), the ensemble has recently expanded its musical spectrum with fusion pieces, pop tunes and Latin songs. The focus is still on vibraphone and solo guitar, but the band sound is modernized with marimba, steel- and nylon string guitars, and different percussion instruments. Own compositions and newly arranged standards now form the basis for the new album Travels.
